I N D E F I N I T E   F R E Q U E N C Y is a dynamic and immersive dance-concert, performed by three dancers and four percussionists. The audience is invited to traverse a journey of ever-changing constellations which sees the trio of dancers navigate a dynamic spectrum of movement qualities and states. The work is evolved from our interest in the role of memory in the present moment and revolves around the ripple effect that even seemingly minor experiences have on our identities. Music, movement and light combine to build a rich tapestry of texture, space, time and architecture. Questions of quantum mechanics, polarities and duality charge the work as the dancing body becomes a conduit to realise and actualise the usually impalpable aspects the make us who we are. The work considers the infinite web of connections and constellations that exist between us as the performers embody and illustrate the polarities of play and power. Drums and dance have been linked throughout human history. The work utilises musical compositions that exude ritual pulse and rich sonority, scaffolding the piece with atmospheric charge.

N E D O L O Č E N A    F R E K V E N C A  je poglobljen dinamičen plesni koncert, ki ga izvajajo trije plesalci in štirje tolkalci. Občinstvo je povabljeno na potovanje po nenehno spreminjajočih se konstelacijah, po katerih se trojica plesalcev usmerja v dinamičnem spektru gibalnih kvalitet in stanj. Zasnova projekta je nastala iz spraševanja o pomenu spomina v sedanjem trenutku in se vrti okoli verižnega učinka, ki ga imajo celo dozdevno manj pomembne izkušnje na našo identiteto. Izbrana glasba, gib in svetloba ustvarjajo bogat mozaik teksture, prostora, časa in arhitekture. Vprašanja kvantne mehanike, polarnosti in dvojnosti povzdignejo delo, medtem ko plesno telo postaja vodnik za uresničitev in udejanjenje običajno neotipljivih vidikov, zaradi katerih smo to, kar smo. Delo upošteva neskončno mrežo povezav in konfiguracij, ki obstajajo med nami, medtem ko izvajalci utelešajo in ponazarjajo polarnosti igre in moči. Z ritmi bobnov je bil ples povezan skozi celotno človeško zgodovino. Za tokratni plesni koncert so izvajalci izbrali skladbe, ki izžarevajo močan ritualni utrip in bogato zvočnost.

The images created by the gentle sounds of the vibraphone (Elliot Cole, Postludes for Bowed Vibraphone) in juxtaposing the solos of each of the dancers were simply magical.”„Podobe, ki so jih ustvarili nežni zvoki vibrafona (Elliot Cole, Postludes for Bowed Vibraphone) v sopostavitvi solov vsakega izmed plesalcev, so bile preprosto čarobne.“

The great perfection of the movement was also discernible from the strength from the mutual gravity of bodies that never touch, even if they stood only millimeters apart. Their disciplined movements of precise intensities were driven by mutual intertwining in a chain that led each action to the next.” „Veliko dovršenost giba je bilo razbrati tudi iz moči nad medsebojno gravitacijo teles, ki se nikoli ne dotaknejo, četudi so si stali zgolj milimetre narazen. Njihove disciplinirane gibe preciznih intenzitet je gnala medsebojna zazankanost v verigo, ki je vodila vsako akcijo v naslednjo.“

The contemporary dance body is often anonymous when performing in group choreographies so that it can submit to synchronization, collectivity, which is also present in the Indefinite Frequency. Nevertheless, the dancers retain their individuality, which is present mainly in choreographic solos and improvisations – Milan Tomášik is grand, Andy Schrotter rebellious, Charlie Brittain emphatic.” „Sodobnoplesno telo je pogosto anonimno, kadar nastopa v skupinskih koreografijah pa uniformno, da se lahko podredi sinhronizaciji, kolektivnosti, ki so prezentne tudi v Nedoločeni frekvenci. Kljub temu pa plesalci ohranijo svojo individualnost, ki je prisotna predvsem v koreografskih solih in improvizacijah – Milan Tomášik je velikopotezen, Endi Schrotter uporniški, Charlie Brittain emfatičen.“

“The tempo of created sound and dance actions of indefinite frequencies ends ambitiously with the tones of the music mogul, the vibraphone: Elliot Cole’s Postludes For Bowed Vibraphone, which deepens and calms as energy spills fluidly on and across the stage, and beyond; the reaction of the spectators was not at all calm, but resounding. “„Tempo ustvarjenih zvočnih in zaplesanih akcij nedoločenih frekvenc se velikopotezno zaključi ob tonih glasbenega mogotca, vibrafona: skladba Postludes For Bowed Vibraphone skladatelja Elliota Colea, ki poglablja in umirja, ko se energija fluidno razliva po in čez oder, pa še dlje; odziv gledalcev pa nič kaj miren, ampak odmeven.“
